Q: What is your curriculum based on A: Our Curriculum is based on a combination of the British Foundation Stage and the Primary Years Program. We use theme based learning to provide a meaningful context for our learning. Daily routine is also very important; circle time, snack time, toilet time, clean up time, brush teeth time, etc. We use a lot of songs to help children make the transition from one activity to the next.
Q: Are your teachers qualified educators? A: Yes - all our teachers have teaching credentials and/or a variety of previous experience in the classroom both in Japan and overseas.
Q: Do you teach one particular form of English such as British English or American English? A: The simple answer is no. Our teachers and students come from the international community so we prefer to think of our English as international. Students will be used to hearing English from all around the world.
Q: What programs are available? A: 2, 3 and 5 day programs are available.
Q: Are daycare facilities available? A: Yes, daycare facilities are available from 2:45pm - 7pm Monday to Friday
Q: Is English the language of the school? A: English is the language that we use for all daily communication and teaching.
Q: Do you have Japanese speaking staff available? A: Yes we have Japanese speaking staff available at the school.
Q: What about toilet training? A: If your child is still in diapers when they come to school, toilet training will be part of the school routine. We will work closely with individual parents to make sure that we fulfill the needs of your child.
Q: Do the children regularly take exercise outside? A: Yes - weather permitting we go out everyday. We practice different skills in the park and we also go on school walks based on our learning theme for the month.
Q: Is it possible for our company to pay the fees directly to the school? A: This is no problem; your company can pay the fees using the bank transfer system.
Q: What is the highest temperature a child is allowed to have before you send them home? A: If a child is sick with a temperature of 37 degrees C then we will call the parent or care giver to come and collect them.

Are children allowed to share their snacks and food at school
A: No; we do not allow children to share their food in case of allergies. This is a strict rule of the school.
Q: Is lunch provided by the school? A: Children are able to bring their own lunches or take advantage of our healthy lunch service available for 688 yen per day. This service is provided by Kiwi Kitchen. You can veiw their menus @ www.kiwikitchen.com.
Q: Can we join only at the beginning of a term or at any time in the year? A: Families are able to join our school at any time throughout the year subject to availability.
Q: How soon do we have to let you know if we want our child to come to the school? A: As soon as possible to guarantee a place for the date you want your child to start.
Q: Are trial lessons available before we have to make a decision? A: Yes - please contact Anthony (School Director) if you would like to arrange a trial and he will make an appointment that is convenient for you.
Q: Do you have regular school events? A: Yes we do; each term finishes with an end of term performance. In addition there are also field trips throughout the regular school year and during Summer School.
Q: What are the school hours? A: Children are able to arrive from 8:30am. Classes commence at 9:30 am until 2:30 pm.
